The Widgets are a fictional race featured in the Masters of the Universe multimedia franchise. They first appeared in the twelfth episode of season one of the 1983 animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe titled "Evil-Lyn's Plot".
Description
Widgets are diminutive gnome-like creatures that live in Widget Woods on the planet Eternia. They maintain the Widget Fortress as well as the nearby Widget Mines. Two Widgets of note are Kando and Squinch, who worked as guards at the Widget Fortress. Kando was the more militant of the two, while Squinch was more light-hearted and somewhat dim-witted. Both however, were committed towards defending the Widget Fortress against the Evil Warriors. Another Widget is Lara, who was a bit more temperamental than the other two, but also expressed an interest in Squinch.
