Strax is a fictional alien featured in the Doctor Who television franchise. He appeared in the 2005 revival series of the show and was played by actor Dan Starkey. He made his first appearance in the series six episode, "A Good Man Goes to War", which featured Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor. He also appeared in episodes from series seven, again with Smith, and in series eight, which starred Peter Capaldi as the Eleventh Doctor. Strax was an alien member of the Sontaran race. He was the colleague of Vastra and Jenny Flint and lived in their residence with them in London, England in the modern era.
