Bionic Woman was an American television series of the sci-fi/action genres. It was a remake of the original 1970s action series The Bionic Woman. The revamped version of the show was produced by Universal Media Studios and aired on NBC from September to November of 2007, spanning a total of only eight episodes. Production on the show went on hiatus due to the WGA writers' strike. As such, NBC decided to discontinue the series. The series starred Michelle Ryan in the title role of Jaime Sommers. Supporting cast members included Miguel Ferrer, Molly Price and Lucy Hale. All eight episodes have been made available on the Bionic Woman: The Complete Series DVD collection.

- Executive producer David Eick is also known for creating a more successful revamp of a classic 1970s sci-fi series, Battlestar Galactica.
- Executive producer Jonas Pate is also co-creator of another short-lived sci-fi series, Surface.
- Actress Michelle Ryan, English by nature, also played a character named Katherine Reimer on the BBC series Jekyll. Jekyll aired in the summer prior to the debut of Bionic Woman.
- On the original The Bionic Woman television series, the role of Jaime Sommers was played by actress Lindsey Wagner.
