The Train conductor was a minor character featured in the 1960s Gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. He was played by actor Alfred Hinckley and appeared in episode 1, which is his only known appearance. The character was created by director Lela Swift and teleplay writer and story developer Art Wallace.
Biography
The train conductor worked on the train that was bound for Collinsport, Maine to New York in the year 1966. The conductor informed one of the passengers, Burke Devlin, that they would be arriving in Collinsport within the next ten minutes, but Devlin, ever a stoic individual, said nothing. The conductor then repeated the same arrival time to another passenger, Miss Victoria Winters, indicating that there were only two people in total on the train getting off at Collinsport, and the train won't be in the station for very long.

- Actor Alfred Hinckley also played the role of Doctor Ian Reade in episode 868, which is part of the "1897 Flashback" storyline.
