Tobe Hooper is an American filmmaker born in Austin, Texas on January 25th, 1943. Hooper has directed several films and television episodes in the horror genre, but he is best known for creating the cult classic, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Tobe's first credited work in episodic television was directing the "Miss Stardust" episode from season two of the anthology series Amazing Stories.
