Sarah Collins is a supporting character and ghost featured in the 1960s gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. Played by child actress Sharon Smyth, she first appeared as a ghost in 1967 in episode 255. Sarah Collins became the center of a crucial storyline, which ultimately evolved into an episodic arc colloquially known as the "1795 Flashback". Beginning with episode 366, Sarah Collins was re-introduced as a living character in the year 1795. She appeared in 36 episodes of the series in total, plus one episode where she provided her voice only. She appeared as Sarah Collins in six episodes and was credited as the Ghost of Sarah Collins in 30 episodes.
Overview
Sarah Collins is the younger beloved sister of Barnabas Collins. She died of pneumonia in 1796, but her spirit haunted her brother into the modern era. She appeared as a ghost before Maggie Evans and tried to help her escape from Barnabas while she was being held captive. Victoria Winters met the living Sarah during the time she was sent back to the year 1795.

- The character of Sarah Collins was created by director John Sedwick and writer Ron Sproat.
- Sarah Collins' human remains are located in one of the three coffins found in the central chamber of the Collins family mausoleum. The other two coffins belong to her parents, Joshua and Naomi Collins. Her brother Barnabas' coffin is located inside of a secret room in the anterior of the mausoleum.
- In the 1991 Dark Shadows revival series, the character of Sarah Collins was played by actress Veronica Lauren.
- Prior to joining the cast of Dark Shadows in 1967, actress Sharon Smyth played a character named Susan Carter in the daytime soap opera Search for Tomorrow. She appeared in episodes dated February 10th and February 22nd, 1966.
