Nurse refers to a healthcare professional who, in collaboration with other members of a health care team, is responsible for: treatment, safety, and recovery of acutely or chronically ill individuals; health promotion and maintenance within families, communities and populations; and, treatment of life-threatening emergencies in a wide range of health care settings. Nurses perform a wide range of clinical and non-clinical functions necessary to the delivery of health care, and may also be involved in medical and nursing research.

A nurse at Ashbridge Cottage Hospital showed Doctor Henderson the x-ray of a patient with two hearts. Unaware that this was the Gallifreyan Time Lord known as the Doctor, Henderson dismissed the findings as someone's idea of a practical joke. [1]
Teen Wolf
One of the supporting characters from the MTV series Teen Wolf, Melissa McCall works as a nurse at the Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital. Melissa is the mother of werewolf Scott McCall. She also administered care to a seemingly catatonic patient named Peter Hale who, unbeknownst to her, was also a werewolf.
