Neil R. Gaiman is a British fantasy writer, novelist, comic book author and television screenwriter. He was born in Portchester, England on November 10th, 1960. Gaiman is best known for creating the Sandman series of comic book titles and graphic novels published by DC Comics in the late 1980s up through the late 1990s. His television credits include the 1996 miniseries Neverwhere, which was devised by Gaiman, as well as episodes of Babylon 5 and Doctor Who.
