Melrose Place is an American television series of the drama genre. It is considered a prime time soap opera that aired on the FOX Network for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999 totaling 227 episodes. The series was created by Darren Star of Darren Star Productions and is a spin-off the popular teen-drama series Beverly Hills, 90210. The show was produced by Spelling Television. The show had many revolving cast members throughout its seven-year run, the most notable of which was Heather Locklear, who received a Special Guest Star credit, even though she was one of the program's regulars. Actor Thomas Calabro, who played the part of Doctor Michael Mancini, is is the only cast member who remained on the series from beginning to end, appearing in 219 out of 227 episodes.
