Madrid is the capital and largest city of Spain. Madrid is the most touristic city of Spain, ahead of Barcelona, and the fourth-most touristic of the continent. The city is located on the river Manzanares in the centre of both the country and the Community of Madrid, which comprises the city of Madrid, its conurbation and extended suburbs and villages; this community is bordered by the autonomous communities of Castile and León and Castile-La Mancha. On the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the vampire known as Luke was said to be active in Madrid some time around 1843. During this time, he had an encounter with a noted vampire hunter who managed to catch Luke while he was sleeping. The two fought one another, but the hunter managed to survive; one of the few to battle Luke to ever do so. This seeming failure caused Luke some level of embarassment and he never forgot the incident. [2]
