Luxans are a sentient alien race featured in the science fiction television series Farscape. They were represented in the series by Ka D'Argo, a series regular, as well as his son Ka Jothee, who became a more prominent character in season 4.
Luxans are large, near-human bipeds who hail from any number of worlds that comprise the Luxan territories. Luxans are characterized by their stout stature, long tentacles and braided facial hair.
Luxans possess eight cranial and facial tentacles, which they call tenkas. The wider chin tenka on the males is an erogenous zone. [citation needed]
Luxans are genetic cousins to the Ilanics and share many of the same genetic markers. The Luxans allied themselves with the Ilanics during their war against the Scorvians. [citation needed]
Luxans can survive in the vacuum of space for up to fifteen minutes. [citation needed]
