Laura Bertram is a Canadian actress born in Toronto, Ontario on September 5th, 1978. Featuring primarily in Canadian broadcast film and television projects, Bertram is best known for playing the role of plucky, purple alien Trance Gemini on the 2000-2005 science fiction series Andromeda. She appeared in 103 out of 110 total episodes of the series over its five-season run.
Laura's first credited work in television was a playing a young girl named Nina in the 1993 TV movie, Family Pictures. Her first work in episodic television was playing young Valerie in the "Reunion" episode of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. She followed this up with an appearance on Street Legal and played two different characters in two episodes of the children's horror series Are You Afraid of the Dark?.
Laura's first recurring work in a series was playing Amanda Zimm on the family drama series Ready or Not. She appeared in all sixty-five episodes of the series.
It was in 2000 that she became a regularly billed cast member on Andromeda. Following her stint on Andromeda, Laura appeared in the 2006 TV movie Murder on Pleasant Drive, playing a character named Janice. She then appeared in four episodes of Robson Arms as Chris Colton.
In 2010, Laura played the roomate of a character named Corey in the season six episode of Supernatural, "You Can't Handle the Truth".
