Kevin Williamson is a film producer and television showrunner. He was born in New Bern, North Carolina on March 14th, 1965. Kevin is responsible for the creation of several popular TV shows, many of which fall into the teen drama genre. He created the popular WB Network television series Dawson's Creek, which ran for six seasons between 1998 and 2003. He was also the creator of the short-lived series Hidden Palms as well as the supernatural mystery series Glory Days. In 2009, Kevin became the showrunner for the first of two supernatural teen drama programs based on the works of author L.J. Smith. The first was The Vampire Diaries, which began airing on the CW Network in 2009 and the second was The Secret Circle, which aired after The Vampire Diaries, but only lasted a single season.
