Ian Lithgow is an American television and theater actor born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 3rd, 1972. The son of film and TV actor John Lithgow, Ian is best known for co-starring with his more infamous father in the 1990s NBC sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun. Ian played the role of Leon, a dim-witted student usually found attending the class led by papa Lithgow's character, Dick Solomon. A recurring gag on the series was that Solomon would often berate Leon for his lack of intelligence.
