Ellis Jones is a British television actor born on November 15th, 1943 in Petersfield, East Hampton, Hampshire, England. Ellis' first television work was playing a man named Charlie in episode 1.4 of The Liars. From 1972 to 1973, Ellis played Hal Adden in all twenty-six episodes of Pardon My Genie. Ellis Jones played a character named Burke on all twenty-eight episodes of the comedy series The Squirrels from 1974 to 1977. In science fiction he played the role of a technician in the "Spearhead from Space (Part 1)" episode of the original Doctor Who series. This episode is notable for introducing the Third Doctor on the series, who was played by actor Jon Pertwee. In that same serial, Ellis also provided the voice for a character named Doctor Lomax, but was uncredited for this role. He played Vicar Wakefield in the last four instalments of the 1977 miniseries Raven.
