Dyson is a fictional shape-shifting Fae and one of the main characters on the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Played by actor Kris Holden-Ried, he was introduced in the series' first episode, "It's a Fae, Fae, Fae, Fae World" and has appeared in all subsequent episodes of the series.
The actual pilot that sold the series to Showcase is "Vexed" and was used as the eighth episode of Season 1.
