"Pilot" is the first episode of the American drama series Dirt. It was written and directed by series creator Matthew Carnahan and first aired on the FX Network on Sunday, January 2nd, 2007. The series introduces the character of Lucy Spiller, who is the editor-in-chief of Drrt magazine - a tabloid targeting popular celebrities in film, television and sports. Along with her trusty schizophrenic photographer, Don Konkey, she makes her living by unabashedly invading the private lives of basketball star Prince Tyreese and washed-up actor Holt McLaren. She manipulates Holt into giving her some insightful gossip about an actress in exchange for some much-needed publicity to help re-invigorate his movie career.
