Robert Clark Gregg is an American film actor. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 2nd, 1962. He is best known for playing the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series of films beginning with 2008's Iron Man. Gregg brought the character to the small screen in two different formats; first as an animated character on Ultimate Spider-Man and later as a revived Phil Coulson on ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

- Not only did Clark Gregg play an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., but he was also in two episodes of the crime drama series called The Shield (which has no connection to the fictional spy agency).
