Biography
In 1896, Carl Collins met a "tart" in Albany that he became infatuated with for a brief period. His sister, Judith, did not approve of her. [4]
In 1897, Carl emerged from the secret entrance into the drawing room at Collinwood where he found Barnabas Collins sitting in a chair. He pointed a gun to his head, claiming that he knew exactly who and what he was. Barnabas denied the accusation, holding to the claim that he was a cousin from England. Carl fired the gun anyway, which projected a flag that read "Fib" upon it. Carl was overly amused by the success of his prank, but Barnabas did not share his enthusiasm. (DS 706)
when he could not find his beloved Pansy Faye, Carl grew frantic and went over to Collinwood. He was put out by the fact that nobody ever seemed to give his concerns any priority. Gregory Trask informed him at this time of the recent death of Rachel Drummond. Carl and Tim Shaw went to the Old House to collect Rachel's body for burial. While there, Tim caught sight of Pansy's ghost. Carl went in search of her, but to no avail. After burying Rachel in Eagle Hill Cemetery, he heard the familiar tenor of Pansy's favorite song. Unable to locate her, he began to suspect that she was dead. (DS 777)
