History

1897

In 1897, Quentin Collins went to the Blue Whale where he befriended a patron named Tessie Kincaid. They left the pub together, after which, Quentin transformed into a werewolf and killed her. [1]

1966

Burke Devlin met with Wilbur Strake at the Blue Whale to discuss Burke's ongoing investigation into the current practices of the Collins family. (DS 1) As the night wore on, several young adults came into the etablishment for a night of dancing. Joe Haskell grew frustrated watching his girlfriend, Carolyn Stoddard, dancing with a bunch of other men. Joe tried to get her to leave, which ultimately led to him getting into a fist fight with some of the other dancers. Burke Devlin broke up the fight, and told Carolyn to go home. He asked Joe to meet him back at the bar again later that evening. Devlin offered to finance Joe's dream of owning a fishing boat of his own, in exchange for using his relationship with Carolyn as a vehicle to dig up dirt on the Collins family. Joe was very uncomfortable with such an arrangement and politely declined. (DS 2)
