Alden is a fictional zombie apocalypse survivor and a supporting character featured on episodes of The Walking Dead on AMC. Played by actor Callan McAuliffe, he first appeared in the season eight episode, "The Damned".
Biography
Alden was a young man in his apparent early twenties during the years of the zombie apocalypse. Several years after the world was overrun by the dead, Alden was living in Virginia where he became a member of a survival group known as the Saviors. The Saviors went to war with several other communities, and Alden was one of those who was captured by Maggie Greene's people at Hilltop Colony. Unlike other more militaristic members of the Saviors, Alden did not want to risk any unnecessary bloodshed, and was a model prisoner, even going so far as to discourage other prisoners from taking violent action against the Hilltoppers.
When the Saviors managed to free themselves, Alden elected to stay behind. He became a member of the Hilltop militia, though he still had a long way to go before earning Maggie Greene's trust.
